Changed mine up a little bit. Still not really happy with the albedo (Lets face it, it looks like bricks of inedible chocolate cake), any tips would be most welcome ^_^. I also feel it has a "soft" look about it?
Here we go, two variants of my brick material. Check out my Artstation for 6 more! The herringbone pattern proved to be a bit too much work for this particular material. I will probably save it for one of the later challenges. On to marble!
So... surprise-surprise, I've done another brick material! It seems like I'll never stop... This time I've included a herringbone pattern toggle and MUCH MORE! Check out my Artstation for 15 variants and another micro-tutorial/breakdown!
Looking good everyone! @k I think your bricks might be looking a bit too soft, you may want to tighten up some of the bevels in your large details a bit. there is also some seams from the grunge overlay coming through
@superdenny707 You can use painter to color if you like but this is mostly a designer challenge. @etienneh99 Very interesting what you've done with this. I feel the edges of the plaster are too soft though. Here is how my bricks are looking. Not 100% happy with the color.
