You contradict yourself in your own post and you're still not presenting any kind of argument that addresses the very real ethical dilemma of the Steam Workshop and crowdsourcing platforms like it. Just because you don't see a problem with something doesn't make it legal or ethical. I have tried to contact Valve, I've…
@"Eric Chadwick" this is kinda awkward, but I have accidently moved my post from CS:GO weapon finish contest to Counter-Strike GO and now i cannot move it back (i do same steps as i did before but apparently there is no option to move it now) could you please tell me what I do wrong and why I cant move it back? also, in…
The contest was really good experience to me:) Im glad valve gave us such opurtinity and I hope there will be more to come:) Whats related to announcing winners, its better to be ready; im having polycount, csgostash, csgo blog and csgo workshop open. Good luck to you all!
i have the same issue as the original post or atleast the one you replied to. im new here and i just want to join the skin finish contest. i dont know what WIP is even. and how to update my work here on polycount. sorry. please help
Go here: http://polycount.com/categories/cs%3Ago-weapon-finish-contest Press the big green New Topic button. Make sure you read and follow the instructions in this thread. Also, don't promote your thread here. I removed your link. This is a Q & A thread only.
Congrats to the winners of the contest, I really like the AWP alot. Kinda sad I haven't made it again but thats life, gonna hope for something in upcoming case atleast:D:) But the real question is; should I keep the PC-CSGO tag on the skin or delete it and make it skin as any other?
The only reason I brought it up is because of the discrepancy in votes in certain time windows. Every one of my other skins follows a more gradual progression, usually starting at a higher percentage of yes votes, then trending down ~5-10%. I have never seen a skin go from 67% yes votes, then drop to 40% yes votes in a…
I don't see any issues here. Colors are reminiscent of Boba Fett but you aren't using his logo or likeness. Just similar colors and chipped paint style. You can't copyright the latter. I am not judging this contest, but if I were I wouldn't see any copyright infringement in this skin.
I love the idea of a themed contests and I really hope to see some more from Polycount and Valve. I also had a chance to start working on csgo weapon finishes thanks to this event, feels good to be back to workshop after a long break. Good luck everyone, there were so many great concepts from all of you. Cheers!
In the first post is says "the" week after. "The winners will be announced the week after the contest concludes" So sometime this week I assume, I don't know how they'll get through all entries this week. Ohhh I wasn't aware that they updated it, I was away from the workshop for about a year. In that case I retract my…
