Hi Guys, I have found a consistent reproducible crash in Substance Designer 5.1.0. It happens when working with functions, admittedly in a "wrong" way. 1. Open Substance Designer and create a new Substance, any setting is fine. 2. In the Explorer, in the Unsaved Package create a new Function. 3. In the Untitled_Function…
Yes, it's a known bug : constant negative integer values don't work properly (in your case, since the integer values come from widgets set in Designer's UI, they are evaluated when compiling the graph and are constant when rendering). You can easily work around this by exposing floating point parameters with an increment…
Can we have an option to change English to English UK? It is becoming annoying when I keep on typing "Colour" instead of "Color". If you set it to "System" and you have English (United Kingdom) it still is color in Substance Designer. I know this is minor but it would be nice to use the spelling of colour/color that the…
Substance Designer 5.1.0 I'm having some weird behaviors with the Pixel Processor. Basically I'm trying to use the Power Function on a grayscale gradient in order to change its falloff... However I'm getting some really weird banding instead of the expected results. Did something change with the pixel processor ? Thanks !…
There are currently 2 ways to report bugs:* In Substance Painter, through the Help > Report Bug menu. * For every other Allegorithmic tool, the little green tab on the right of this page allows you to report bugs too. You can also complain in this thread of course :) but going through one of these paths will ensure that…
Since the latest update of Painter 2, my steam version always starts with "this program did not seem to exit cleanly" and wanting to report so. Unless it's crashing silently on exit, this message is reoccurring for no reason. Any way to solve this? Reinstall? Verify the app cache in steam and it was all fine there. Any…
Probably a bug.... Source control scripts in designer using SVN pop up stupid dialogs when locking files - I think it's trying to write to the file before locking it. The lock will execute fine once the dialog is gone, it's just irritating.. I don't remember this being an issue with perforce but sadly I don't have that…
Okay thanks. Were you able to load and use the PBR shader before the crash ? Could you post your log (or send it to me via PM) ? Maybe you default graphic card switched to the integrated Intel chipset instead of the nVidia GPU. The best way to avoid that is to create a profile for Designer in the nVidia drivers settings…
Well that is sad. I need to use exact driver version: 378.92 This is how it looks for me EDIT: Updated to R381.65 still no luck. This driver is from April, not that old. I'm on Win 8.1 x64 Substance Painter can use it just fine. Also iRay also works in Substance Designer 5.6.2. So only 2017 have problems on my PC.
Designer feature request: Allow us to pan further in the Node Preview window. Sometimes I want to get really close to the outer edges of my node's preview but the camera clamps it for some reason. In Photoshop you can hit "F" and cycle through view modes and the second mode is what I was hoping for so I can pan further.
