Still working on the high-poly, mostly the sculpting pieces. Kind of struggling with deciding on how to approach the gauze wrapping. Ignore the bad shading from flipped normals :shifty: Also just doing some material tests for it in CE 3.6. Will probably go with more galvanized metal though.
Thanks Satoshi :: Ysalex :) ...beautiful shotgun!! About 1/3 is kitbashed. I layout out the initial form with kit pieces then wrap forms around and fill holes. it takes a while ...a little here and there when I have time. the hardest part is keeping the design language similar. At the moment I am trying to reduce detail.
posting this here as well (<- haha). Very close to calling this done. Lantern still needs a texture and might add some effects of some sorts to explain the blue glow from the inside. Looking for some feedback before wrapping this up. link to my thread for critique:…
Hey everyone! I was laid off from S2 towards the beginning of September (along with nearly half the dev team), so I've been working on getting my site updated after the past year and a half working. I wrapped that up earlier this week, so I thought I'd post some of my new professional and personal work. Professional:
Great stuff guys! I'm making some knives...2 of 6 are done! :) Btw: If somebody knows some good tutorials on how to model ornate stuff (renessaince/baroque/roman/etc) I would be so grateful if he/she would let me know! I just can't wrap my head around how to model this stuff...Thanks in advance! :)
Pretty close to the finish line on this one. Hopefully one more weekend of work on this will wrap it up. Despite wanting to do much MUCH more, sometimes you just gotta move on. With that said, I really enjoy the progress I've made and all the cool things I've learned about UE4 and Substance Last minute C&C is always…
These look fantastic! I wish I could sculpt cloth like that. Alas, I'm in the early days of such a technique. You should add some thickness to the shirt. Most shirts wouldn't wrap around the muscles of the body so well unless the shirt was wet, I'd assume.. (see: pecs and upper back muscles) Might chuck this in my…
I'm working on a really simple mech, for a project in my game design class. I've run into a bit of a wall. I made a circular set of treads, then wrapped a NURBS circle around it, using the wire tool on the both of them, which allowed me to shape the treads according to the wheels. My problem is figuring out how to mirror…
A little update on what I've been working on! I've spent this past couple of months learning Mari and texturing the Bulldozer project I started awhile back. He's rendered in Vray, textured in Mari and I'll be compositing him onto live action footage. I've started drawing up some stuff for the next project after the…
Hey guys, I know i've said that I would not make any halo fan art any more.. But while working a lot with Unreal 4 right now, I stumbled upon an old block out. I started it about 3 years ago and its based on a concept for Bungie's Halo ODST. With everything I've learned I decided to spend a couple days to bring it into the…
