Outside of the obvious like the idea of having actual sets instead of collections, I think that an entirely new homepage could benefit the workshop greatly. Currently the homepage is basically the most popular of the week. I think a page that would have multiple lines of scroll-able sections, think netflix queue-ish, could…
I'd also be awesome if we got more then one hero added to the workshop pool every three months. I mean, before Luna, who was the last hero added? Wasn't it abbadon when he released a few months ago?
that's what i was trying to say, way better way of putting it! I believe there are occasions of quality getting lost in a pile of trash, in some systems. I do not however think the workshop is a case in this matter, i see it as highly competitive ecosystem.
It's rewarding participation, and it wont be a way to farm consistant XP. The idea at its foundation is strong, but it does need some refinement. Look at it like this; You have a system in dota where leveling doesn't exponenatly grow as you progess like other systems. The way the current system works represents your…
Absolutely, I meant to mention something like this earlier but it slipped my mind. I feel like Pro/Indie sets should be on separate pages in the workshop, and maybe in the store too, but I think the new found price disparity already kind of separates them. The problem with separating them in the workshop then becomes,…
Ghost, I think you're confusing the purpose of the workshop with the purpose of this forum. The edit item features don't indicate that supposedly the workshop was designed to let people improve their work. They are simply there so that people may make changes if anything goes wrong. By all indications the workshop only…
I completely agree, and i think you used the right comparison here. Upvoting something blindly creates the illusion that people like it. I think everyone here would like more of their items in the workshop, but I wouldn't like it if "paying" for advertisement became a necessity
Hi all, As a recent participant I have to say that the Workshop experience is a bit bitter-sweet. On one hand, getting community feedback and comments is really great, as it gives a really nice read of what people like or want, and why. There is also some constructive feedback in the comment pages, which comes to me as a…
Dont let the last update blind you guys, it was merely one introduction update in contribution to pro players and third parties. Updates in the future will have much less pro sets, and more independent sets. About, tournaments, 3rd parties. I think the issue here is that Valve wants dota 2 as an esport to grow, so they…
I guess i misjudged the purpose of the workshop. I was hoping to know why some people don't like the item. Besides, voting based on presentation isn't really worth anything. You can have good looking food that tastes disgusting and bad looking food that tastes delicious.
