Awesome work as always guys! Another shameful cross-post update from me: Been tweaking some stuff based on the feedback I got in my thread, and hopefully this is a step in the right direction. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1748730
Kisel: like these chars a lot *G* JFletcher: supercool, both dragon and woman!! Renaud: nice that you continue! it's totally worth it Arno: nice! but something makes it bit flat.. could be the lighting combined with the background color.. k, next step: doing on in treedee
Scooby- That's a great example but I tend to punch the contrast way up toward the final steps of the painting, it still has a ways to go...I agree though its always a battle but to much to soon tends to ruin any nice subtle touches to color.
Fantastic work, i have loved watching the progress, please note that i am in no position to give out critisism as i'm still an amateur myself, but i would have personally added a step down into the shower area as that ledge looks fairly high
Killer work everyone! Crosspost from my thread: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=127055 Made some foliage to start covering the room with, still alot to be added. Next step is probably to fix the awfull plaster texture. And to start working on the floor and the pool
Hanska: I LOVE IT! Duncan: "Know ain't gonna lay no mo' big rap up on you, man!" Found a sketch I did 5 years ago, and saw that my younger self had no idea which direction to take it to, so I stepped in and finished it.
I'm finally starting to get better at sculpting. HALLELUJAH. I'm actually beginning to be able to define forms well. So excited. It feels like such a big step forward to me. Woo! So, here's an old dude with a penis.... Took around 45 minutes? Just a sketch
finally got round to remaking the top reciever, and ive got to say im quite impressed with it! hopefully this is around the correct thickness, which i think it is. i made sure to make it a lot thicker than the last effort anyway. next step: fixing the irons sights at last.
That is so awesome. All the fun of Legos, without the pain of stepping on them lol. Couldn't you leave it attached to the head joint with a division node that dampens the movement? So the head joint moves up and down maybe 10 units, but then divide it by 3 so the camera only moves 3.3 units.
I'm calling it done, it's never perfect but I always stop when I find I learned what I had to learn from it. I think it was a very good pratice and a big step in the way to become better at male character! So once again Thanks to everyone for helping me out with comment and critics, very helpfull as usual.
