Thought id throw up something in here since i havent before! Just started working on this sculpt of Fionna from adventure time, but i want to really flesh her out, make and add more details but retain the curvy body and facial features etc! :)
A little table diorama I am working on inside TB2. Still a WIP. Some of the items are still in a blocky stage like the machete, compass, and makeshift crisco-can-candle. Definitely will add some more small props as well as my molding trim for the wall etc.
Hows the quality btw? Ive heard of shapeways before. Actually it's not that bad for the price, i've seen price way higher than that before. I was actually wondering about those technical details like hollowing, would you mind sharing what's the process of this or any tutorial etc?
I was playing around with lighting this piece last night, and I came up with this. I'll set up another one so you can actually see the piece a little bit better, but I liked the colors, etc. This is from my Escape entry. Firstkeeper: That is so beautiful!
Thanks for the lovely words folks and by all means, add it to blogs etc. I decided to tweak the design a little, also if anyone is wondering, its mainly a mashup of a p90 and some other images, including a HONDA concept bike. Also did another as these are so fun and relatively fast to do.
What's up guys, I'm gonna try to start posting stuff more frequently than I have been lately. That might sound impossible, but it's not trust me! To start with, here's a quick marmoset render of a wip (I'd say ~80% done - still needs lots of love, a rig, etc):
@LowPolyFreak -- intershinp? that is nice enough to get a job :) As posted before ... I would just have a nice video showing off the art, then have still images to explain your process. This will allow the viewer to take as much time as they want to study your wires, textures etc... nice work dude!!!
soooo much work left, rebuilding the old model, almost from scratch, and while redoing it for the highpoly of the ingame version, i already do set it up to be printed, with an inside layout for wiring the rotors and positioning lights etc. to be powered by 2 AAA batteries takes sooo much longer :X
THERE IS A VIDEO BELOW! Hey all, I was working on this as a project... but as time passed by, it turned into a kind of terrain sand box deal. Super fun stuff, but I want to move on to a new sand box; more to learn! So please forgive the weak areas, like floating fire etc. ;) But I do want to point out that the sky is fully…
Wow. Amazing. I love the perfects forms mixed with the perfect amount of detail, and the character in her face. It seems like you do some very light projection painting on faces etc. Do you do that as you go, or once you are semi-finished? Anyways, one of my favorites here in a while.
