Hey hey hey. Just getting around to creating my thread. I've decided to start by blocking out the creep den which I'm hoping to try to push some kind of ancient mythological greece style. My initial blockout for the creep den. I would like this to almost be colosseum style, arena combat area with the respective blue or red…
I'm not sure if you guys support Legacy at all anymore, but I use both Legacy and Suite - Legacy is now using my blockout map as a cavity map and is also transferring the blockout details to my specular map. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? I've attached what my model looks like after running the initial project.
I am trying out vertex color painting in 3dsmax. say u paint a vertex color map after asigning a vertex paint modifier, is there a way to get the initial vertex color map to display as you paint a new vertex color after applying a new vertex paint modifier especially if u need to paint with reference to the previous one in…
I'm looking to license a model of a mad magazine-style Einstein caricature. Initially the model will be used in static images such as an application icon and a splash screen. Ideally, the model would look something like: It is not crucial that the model be of Einstein, exactly. What I am really going for is a professor or…
Hey guys! I decide to start my sketchbook here. I hope you enjoy it. I'll start with some old stuff that I made, critics are very welcome lets share ideas. So lets start. Thats a fairy bust that I was trying to do last year inspired by artist JenniferHealy http://jenniferhealy.deviantart.com/... Here's my initial sketch…
While I was painting I noticed I focused on the environment way too much, so I'm already working on a new illustration. But, since some work has already been done, I wanted to post the progress, I'll probably finish it later on anyway. Soon I'll also post the initial progress of the second illustration :) Gnar, first…
Another update on my character project: I've remodeled a lot of my initial blockout in order to get better topology, but I feel like progress has been good. I threw on some test colors to make sure the design was balanced. I will most likely do another color pass once the final topology is in place.
As a wannabe artist, I chose Blender for monetary reasons, but you're making me quite happy I did. I definitely like its shortcuts as I can't stand to pick thing from menus. It completely destroys any flow I've got going. I love the Diorama, too. Especially seeing the initial drawing and the final result.
I am interested, but reading the comments I am a little worried about the focus of this group/collaboration. It reads as if there are 6-8 different ideas and no consensus about what we are actually doing; which I in turn read as the initial excitement will dissapate and the project will lose steam/artists. What's the plan…
