Except the gizmo doesn't do what the OP needs, XZ. Shortcut key for cycling the planar axes is F8... XY, YZ, ZX. Also you can show the buttons for it by right-clicking on the toolbar... -

They were mostly related to UI - eg. you could end up with busted toolbars and the 3dview rendering in the UV editor window. Nothing that would lose you work but usually requiring a restart of maya -

Hi guys! A way to workaround this until the bug is fixed is to set 3d0 as topmost from the menu on the Main suite toolbar, "Make 3DO Topmost (Prevents painting issues) Let me know if this helps! -

Since the question was answered figured I throw in 2 rando hotkeys. Really nice hotkey is ctrl+spacebar. It gets rid of all the menus and toolbars. Also alt+b cyles the background color. -

Sketchfab embed requires you to click the little button on the right end of the editing toolbar. Then paste your URL in there, and press Enter. Currently the button icon is broken. For me it shows as a little empty box. -

I don't think you can hotkey an individual brush? If so, I just don't know how. I usually just have a toolbar with the 8 or so brushes I use most. -
