Okay, spoke with one of our artists today and also spoke with our rendering engineer. Rendering says we are using the tangents/normals directly out of Maya. Yeah im using 2009. Another thing you could try is to setup cameras, like frontview, sideview, whatever view you want, and decrease the FOV down to 1.1 or less to match it to an orthographic view and see how that works out. Then theres also google sketchup, I think you can render outlines like in this video [ame]… -

Actually the old XSI ModTool was more restrictive than people might of released. Only DXFX and CGFX material types are supported; mental ray materials are not supported. Supports polygonal mesh primitives only. Exported geometry is limited to 64000 triangles. Mental ray renderer is used only for Rendermap and Ultimapper;… -

What an odd layout. Must be some geeky reason for it, I'm sure. Honestly, all cubemap generation from a 3D environment is done basically the same way.
