What I was looking at doing was widening the hips to better define that area, bring in the mid section just a bit, lengthen the legs, and shorten the arms just a hair.… -

I think that one thing you could really work on overall here is defining your materials. The more I look at your individual assets, the more I think that really dialing in your specs will really tie things together better. There are a couple shots where your materials don't even appear to have any specular value at all.… -

You can't get a dry cut answer for something like this, both can do the same stuff, but the little changes are what defines the programs. Seriously, why don't you try out the trials? We can spend all day telling your how 'cool' CB or NDO2 is, but it will be all for naught if you don't spend some time trying to understand… -

Ah that's more like it! Much better direction. If you're worried about it looking like metal rather than organic don't, a lot of that - most - will be defined by your textures and shader. Also it'd be great to see cracks and bits broken off on the plates. I'm sure you could find some nasty reference images of squished… -

This is looking spectacular man, I'm really feeling this, I definately agree with what biggest_kid and jarlanperez were saying about the more plates and stuff, maybe look at bomb suits for some reference? and some of the beefy armored characters from army of two would be some good reference to look at for that tactical…
