Nice stuff! Love the painterly green pants, and the snowman fur. Roasted chicken ftw! Can you show wires and flats? Would love to see what your edge loops and normal maps and diffuse look like.
UDK thread, right above your head :) . Need more info about the mesh. Are there other instances where it works and this one doesn't? Are the UV's correct? Same UV channel for the diffuse? How's your material set up?
@Xoliul: Awesome! I took away the orange from the spec and added it more to the diffuse, along with a hint of yellow at certain places. I'm still feeling iffy on it all. @Enodmi: I need that as my new Gargoyle. haha.
Thats strange, I take the normals baked in xnormals, then convert the diffuse map to a Normal map using the nvidia plugin, then overlay the details over my normals. Besides hiding the blue channel am I missing something?
Thank you guys for this critique and advices, i know that i've missed wow style, i've tried to make something with my own style, sorry for the misinformation :( Ill do completely new texture with diffuse map only.
Thanks fab-camp! I appreciate your appreciation for the deco. I'm planning on doing the diffuse first, then tailoring the textures to use ndo for my normal map creation. we shall see how that turns out :P
Oh and I forgot, I see cg textures here XD Its good to use these as bases for your textures, but always put love into the diffuse no matter what. Looking forward to see any updates! Maybe a scene???? =)
I've always scored perfectly on these things, but the blinds also got me! I think it's because my real blinds are lacquered so there's always some diffused specular to them and I noticed that's what these blinds were missing.
