Great job thus far. Increasing the glow radius on the candles? Or increasing the intensity the light coming from the moon? Just like the sun, a full moon will light up everything within it's reach. It'll give off an eerie soft glow. Even the smallest of changes can improve the visibility a great deal. Have you thought…
@aaron2 Thank you! Further work on my toadigator. Threw some colors on it, took the concept a little further and refined some parts using the reference pictures included. Its a scavenger and thus eats dead things. When there are no dead things around, it gathers berries with its little arms. On ground, it goes flat for…
PS4 and Xboner are hacked down PCs with cheap AMD graphics cards with GDDR5 8GB to top it off. All Nintendo have to do for E3 2015 is make a console with a Geforce graphics card, Duel-chip custom processor setup and at least 16GB memory. Then we can have all the real next gen graphics right now and not have to fake SSS,…
Hi @moonlazer! I think the back skull is getting a little caucasian so I need to work on it a little more. About the ears, yeah, I need to start giving love to them (I hate making ears xDDDD I guess I need to improve that once for all). About the eyesockets, you're right, maybe it's too soft right now. Thanks for the…
so a few things jump out to me you're wrinkles arent believable, nor are they realistic. I'd go back and figure that out. (When I draw clothes with wrinles I imagine the clothes were made out of rings, and that helps me understand how wrinkles fold due to gravity. Also reference) Everything looks really soft and not well…
So this is the last textured 3D object you will ever do? You also want to look into smoothing groups, or in may's case soft/hard edges. And imo you could probably reduce the tri count on most of the cylinders I also don't get the bolts on the back, seeing the harness I guess this would be on a players back, so why spend…
So I took a break from this to work on an art test but now I'm back with updates! Redid some UV map layouts and finished texturing (at least until I feel I need to make adjustments after I'm done playing with the lighting and shaders more.) Added some very soft warm lights I think that it helps keeps the blue from being…
Ooooh I see! On the smaller images it looked like some sort of soft fur effect, but I get it now :) So regarding your original question then : I think the best way would be to keep what you have at the moment on your highpoly (since it gives you a convincing target look to achieve) but go the very simple oldschool way for…
If you're just making little adjustments to the eye area, there's a quicker way than using transpose master. For example, you want to nudge the eyes a bit closer together. I use a soft mask around the area of the face I want to change, then change to the move tool and make my adjustment with a single drag. Now without…
Your highlights are all over the place. Try to localize them so the rendering makes sense on the texture. (Not on the top and bottom of scratches, edges, etc). The texture also lacks contrast. It feels very soft and flat. I would make the highlights brighter and the shadows darker. The gold needs brighter highlights.…
