Well, actually this sound very sophisticated for a task like this and in the case there are more loose polygons, the method isn't very practical, because the "islands" are get deleted, too. Is this really maya does the job?
Can't wait! Rounding up a few assets to practice texturing just bought ddo with summer sale, syncing up luck ftw! Hopefully see this revamp in the next couple months :D
If you want to drive formula one cars, get your license and invest years practicing. If you want to shoot Nazis, get a time machine. I played Manhunt quite a bit....
Lots of VR this year.... like practically every other booth was dealing with VR in some form. I miss Pixologic's presence though. Zbrush summit down at Gnomon just isnt the same...
nerfguns modding is fun! Just finished my first, kinda rubbish but I was practicing mostly, next one should be better also, a friend did this to his raider nerfgun, looks badass:
thanks, defunct. i agree with your critique. first thing i thought was "it doesn't matter, the cape wll hide it". but acually i think it'd be good practice to just fix it anyway.
Sculpting is difficult even though it looks hella fun to do. But I also thought the same of generic 3d modeling until I practiced every day until it was nailed in my head.
Jocose, I think you forgot to mention you need to activate the Seperate by Smoothing Groups, and actually have hard edges. But yeah that's an interesting technique, not sure if anyone actually uses it practically?
THIS is a key exercise every artist should practice regularly or start their drawing sessions off with. Keep it loose, keep it simple, and don't think. as for the OP, you're not crazy... i see dead people.
I still dont see a reason for those 2 triangles to the left and right of those shields and if this is purely texture painting practice then maybe you should of posted when you actually textured it
