One of my main criteria these days is, "Can you view it on an iPad?", which really just means, Go for the lowest common denominator...HTML5 all the way, especially with both Microsoft and Apple pushing for a plugin free web in the near future.
I can actually see this getting to a legal level where companies manage to monitor specific users using pirated copies, and then those users get hefty fines in the mail and court summons. THE FUTURE Anyways, this is a pretty interesting social experiment.

Bek, it's already ingame with recent update, only thing that it's old version there, but i update it in near future hopefully :) PBR is more esteticly pleasing to make and you can always convert it to spec\gloss easily. The Lone Penguin, thanks man :)
^ True, but a portfolio is a showcase of YOUR work. Its unnecessary putting it in your portfolio, and it will most likely confuse future employees. If you have a 3d environment portfolio, its very unlikely that you don't know how to build a scene with prefabs.
The CPU is a very good choice, although you could get an 8 cores AMD (FX-8350) with similar performances for the same price. It may help in the future gaming wise as most next gen multi-platform games will be heavily multithreaded.

I think you are overthinking this, you don't have to out right lie, just say you are unsure about your future, keep your personal interests out of the interview, and say you want to be the best employee you can be.
That's a bit harsh.. On a desktop level the only reason they have to fight Apple is because of superior marketing, not because OSX is a superior product. It's true they've done poorly in the mobile market but this was obviously an attempt to address that (and hopefully this is not their vision for the future of windows on…
