Is this a Intuos 3 or 4? If this is a 3, then there is a chance that the USB cable that is on the tablet freaked out. Don't open it, you can RMA it. They have lifetime of the product, and up to 1 year after a new model has come out. -

woa... that's messed up. I've never seen that before. What is the viewport set to? Nitrous DX11, DX9, Legacy? What kind of videocard do you have? When was the last time you updated the drivers? -

I highly recommend the Plantronics DSP 500's. Had them for three years as well and only had one problem, and that was caused by me dropping them like a thousand times. Plantronics RMA process was excellent tho. -

Woa... smoothing groups in modo? That seems kind of cool for max users crossing over. Does modo do hard/soft edges like Maya (not a modo user) that would be really cool too I bet. -

You can always try out my foliage shader if you'd like to play around with it. I didn't RMA-pack everything in this shader, but you could easily adjust it for channel-packed textures if you prefer. -

This was a ton of fun and some great nostalgia. Provided I have monies in the near future, Ima buy the season. Whoever they got to do the Marty McFly VO was really pretty great, and Christopher Lloyd is always enjoyable. -

Motherboard is tripple channel - so get 6 or 12 gigs of memory, not 8. Videocard - Go BFG. I would say the best when it comes to RMA's, and lifetime is lifetime. They also have a trade-up program.
