Like has been said, there are resolution settings and material simulation settings in MD. You can find youtube videos that explain everything properly.
One tip that will save a lot of frustration with the crappy MD gizmo is to right click in 3d view and flip the pattern instead of rotating it 180. Much easier.
@spasmart How do you find yourself protecting the position and "shape" of the seam lines of the MD sculpts while doing your noise and wrinkle sculpting?
I'd do Lori Griffiths to learn basic workflows and then buy a handful of premade outfits to reverse engineer (there's dozens on the MD website, and some on artstation too)

Think I'm calling this finished in MD after adding some more of the details to the jacket, hopefully this should be good enough to take it into Zbrush and start sculpting.
