Is this just for adding detail or are you having them be created by a vehicle? Gearbox used decals for their decorative tire tracks in BL3. Though I think they modified the decals, instead of using the default. https://youtu.be/R0-ynCTdCow?t=2498
Hey! I'd add a deformer on the box. Maybe use a lattice or a squash modifier? Burger boxes usually have a slight curve/bend to the cardboard as outlined below. If it's super straight like you've got it, it looks like a hard plastic.
I use Clay Tubes,Clay,Flatten with a modifier to -100, and Hpolish with intensity to 100. Flatten is a good brush to break down edges and create new flat faces to finish off with Hpolish. http://youtu.be/L1wHKxLeK6I?hd=1
Finally got to work on this again. :) Next step will be getting some hard-surface motorcycle body forms down. It's going to be a modified 'sports' vehicle with an akira bike feel. Stickers on the body and attached weapons are attached in a DIY rebel style.
If there's weird mesh pinching you want to smooth out, try using the smooth brush with the Shift modifier, but then RELEASE the Shift button when you're drawing on screen to use a different algorithim that may get your the results you want.
@stoy79. Thanks for the feedback. I'm definitely not using an airsoft rifles as reference. That said I appreciate your feedback and will go back and modify the areas you mentioned. In regards to the hand guard I'm seeing a few different styles for the AK.
Yeah, this is what it looks like with the current unwrap. No stretching from what I can tell but ill go ahead and change it just to be on the safe side. EDIT: I can see the difference now, here is a slightly modified version
Some more progress has been made. Not sure about the horn design. And head needs to be slightly modified to make the horn looking less glued on. Got Marmoset demo for trying out and will look into Substance when it's time for texturing.
Jose, I used wordpress as the platform and a modified a theme called Daisho which you can check out at here. Ben_C, thank you for your suggestion. This is something I will keep in mind and will help with both organization and load time.
Well I didn't mentioned, but it's a low poly model. (I don't think that Zbrush transpose or rig works well with low poly meshes.) I tried 3ds Max biped character, with skin modifier but it looks horrible on the wrists.
