Knowing nothing about music and sound fx apps (yet), I'll just throw in some links hoping they might be useful... Similar to Sfxr is Bfxr. and pxtone, manual, and tutorial.
Perhaps what you're looking for is fresnel FX? In this case it's a shader feature, unrelated to texturing techniques. If you posted some screens it would be easier to understand what you mean.
true... but thats changeing... Blizzard switched to redshift and there are several other doing fx with GPU based farms... https://www.redshift3d.com/blog/blizzards-overwatch-animated-shorts-rendered-with-redshift
Slowly moving along. This is pretty much a detail pass update with the addition of a narrative element. Still need to update some lighting and add the final FX pass. Thanks for stopping by!
Yeah, it's really good for creating FX. I heard about the program from Lee3dee in a CrunchCast. This is something Lee made using FF: http://www.filterforge.com/filters/9423.html
Okay, we'll I guess I'll explore using a render layer with Maya software and their native glow shader. I would have thought this would be possible with shader fx.
I don't think the metalbump shader will show 2sided mats, but I could be wrong. I use FX shaders in the viewport now, so I'm not all that familiar with metalbump.
Hey everyone, we are still looking for Animators, Riggers, Concept Artists, 3D Modelers, Texture Artists, and Particle Fx Artists to finish our team. The Mad Monkey team.
