yeah c4d's viewport is quite weak... they refuse to have directx support. because they want it function same on mac as on windows.. so they only use openGL... i googled some stuff about maya didn't like it. found cinebox for cry engine. but that's not out for the public yet. looks like exactly what im after though.

Hi there. So it seems your legs connect a little to close to your arms to even allow proper landing/running motions. I'd look more bird/lizard references for anatomy. Also, look up the Hoatzin South American bird. They're interesting because they also have functional 'claws' on their wings used for climbing.

Some of the first iterations had that functionality, but I decided to simplify it because I couldn't think of a good reason to move the points' depth. Also if you took it to extremes the geometry would start to artifact. If someone came up with a compelling reason for it, I could bring it back and fix the geo artifacts…
Texture Sets have their own independently functioning Input maps (Normal / AO / Curvature / etc.) You can bake respective Texture Sets and it should not effect anything outside of that specific Texture Set. Just make sure you are baking By Mesh Name and you may need to adjust Max and Rear Frontal Distance.
