Renderhjs forgot to mention how hypnotic watching a moderately complex shell flatten in UVL can be - watching the pretty colors shift from red and bright blue to a minty green... it's quite relaxing, actually. :P
Looks pretty clear to me; a terrain system with a moderately high resolution triangulation, and they're just not rendering the triangles where the structures sit. The structure fits into the grid presented by the terrain quite neatly, hence its shape.
You're welcome :) No problem for the delay, it's actually because my account was new, so I had to wait for a moderator to approve my answer! Feel free to ask if you have specific questions ;) Sincerely, Yoann :poly121:
Consider putting some effort into the anatomy of the right forearm...really trick that out and do a deep dive on the brachioradialis and all the tendons that would be visible. I think that will lend a bit of realism and quality to a moderately toony style.
Maybe your firsts posts need to be reviewed by admins to prevent scam. I'm not sure. Also there's a special section for UE4 issues so maybe it got lost in translation. Anyway, there's really no harsh moderation around here.
Quick question, moderately related to this: Does anyone know if the performance hit is more severe adding an overlay image to a texture in UDK or just doing it in Photoshop and importing as a separate image? Or is this a 'how long is a piece of string' question?
very well done sir Adam Edit: Did you assigned the moderators to study my account thoroughly as well? It gave me 30 seconds CD until I post this.. And this is my first post of the day. =\
[Moderator edit. Removed the OP's content since job ads don't belong here. However, questions about how to find work do belong here.] I am looking for career opportunities. [How do I find work in Montreal?]
