your muscles need to relax, all your added stress is going to do more damage and make it last longer. Then start sleeping on the floor or a really solid bed. Get some muscle relaxants and fast. The best one that comes to mind, opium.
Hi I remember there was a way to relax the polygons alignement without morphing the shape of the sculpted model , you know that sometimes when you push here or stretch there the polygons get stretched and elongated sometimes , so I was wondering if someone remembers the way of relaxing the topology without changing the…
also whats up with that relax/unfold slider thing, it does destroy the uvshell layout!! the one in 3ds max (relax faces) does much better work imo. BUT once again this may be due to my maya noobiness, some ideas?
the relax tool or indeed the modifier if you want finer control are pretty handy for getting rid of lumpy loops. there's a few relax/regularize scripts floating around as well that might help. I often end up rebuilding sections that get messy though..
If you are on a break between one crunch and another soon to come, relax. If you just keep looking for work to do you'll burn yourself out. By relaxing some when you get the chance, you'll recharge and be more productive when it's really needed.
I found the best relax settings in Maya result in it taking AGES to actually relax correctly ... it was something like 10,000 iterations or something... produced a very nice and distortion-free shape, but took about a minute to do it. Maybe I was doing something wrong
erm I don't know if this will completely fix the problem but looking at your unwrap, theres a bit of stretching may I suggest pelt unwrap and relax for it? left= your unwrap right=pelt and relax. It obviously then needs a few further tweaks but it's much neater off the bat
yes ofc :relaxed: no worries i know exactly how not to infringe copyrights i send all my projects to my manager so he can analise with a proper entity if it breaks any copyright in exitence :relaxed: it gonna resemble a xenomorph structure but completly original ;)
I tried that and it just add more distortions. It's a problem on the UV, so I must relax the clusters instead keeping them rectangular. But if I do that, I'll need to make a texture for every segment of the track, because after being relaxed, the clusters won't fit with the current texture.
Unfold in Maya is very similar to relax in max, you need to adjust the slider between face and edge to get the best results. Pinning or unselecting some uvs will improve your results too. I always felt like I got better results with unfold than relax.
