The way I "fixed" but as said is also a kind of hack is to add a second floor on the balconies that is higher and over the other , this would look odd if some npc or character should go there but its fine if its just to be looked at from distance ... I still would prefer it not to be needed , but this is the best solution…
Thanks for that Cyrid - I actually ended up doing exactly that as a fix, after stumbling onto one of your past threads on the same subject :) I couldn't use the repeat button to propogate onto the other toold though as they needed to be scaled down 1000% (i.e 10 repetitions of the scale -100%) so had to do it all manually…

There are a lot of settings in ZBrush controlling import. Look in the Preferences palette, for ImportExport, and you'll see a lot of options like "IFlipY" "ISwitchYZ" etc. See if changing them fixes it.
