Ah ok. I focused on the "open" in your screenshot. Did some quick google and there seem to be multiple batch import/export scripts available on Scriptspot. Can't vouch for their functionality. Worst case you can assign a shortcut to your export, export them to one folder and replace them afterward? That's all I got for…
try texGetShells. its located in C:\Autodesk\Maya20XX\scripts\others\texGetShells.mel its a hidden mel script thats not documented. Its being used in a lot of the functions inside uv toolkit. I have been digging around that folder for some hidden cmds for mu UDIM layout script ive been working on forever.
Aye, I'm giving RadeonPro Render a try since it seems like a professional OpenCL accelerated renderer, but it just breaks the lighting completely. It looks like a tonemapped AO buffer when I render the scene, and there doesn't seem to be any RadeonPro equivalent material to the composite maps. There's the blend material,…
That's because you enabled the 'Keep UV and edit mode selection in sync' function. Disable it and the faces are not loose anymore. You can find a relaxing brush under UV's -> UV Sculpt -> Hold Shift to smooth. And Minimie Stretch helps, too. There are plenty of options. One tip for unwrapping - search for TexTools for…
The functionality of the website itself seems okay. The images used in the background and in particular the images you're using as links on this page: http://www.thearthound.com/portal.html are.. bad. I'd just do away with them or make them more polished. Right now, it doesn't really fit the design, and definitely detracts…
UV Deluxe provides similar functionality to the modo script you mentioned. It's just a script and doesn't depend on any plugins. Set your map size at the top, then set your density in the box that says "Pixels per cm" (under the Ratio rollout) and then select the UV shells you want to scale and hit the "Set Ratio" button.
Wow, I didn't know you could save stuff inside a .jpg before! The script sounds very helpful, I'll give it a whirl later today. For the sake of the convenience of being able to double click to open it, maybe a .zip download could be offered too, just for those using the native windows zip functionality.
The stitch function is configurable so you can choose which shell will move and whether to match scale or not . unfortunately as standard it doesn't multi stitch. A bit of fiddling with the settings and you can get quite close to the way maya behaves. I prefer max for unwrapping and maya for laying the unwrapped pieces out…
I made the transition from Maya to Max about a year ago, and I found Eat3D's 3DS Max 101 DVD invaluable. Great value, and it covers just about all the Max functionality you could need, from modeling to lighting, some rigging and animation and even some of the cloth tools. I'd highly recommend it.
Yeah, this is a cool game. Really hard, but I wish you could turn off the shake functions - makes it extra hard. Really awesome painterly style and two player action. And Epic Mickey comes out in just a few days? I'm glad I held onto my Wii for the awesome 'kiddie' games.
