Hi there! I'll be participating in this contest as well. I'll be taking the challenge upon the Turret and the den. Still undecided to which theme/element that I'll be aiming for. Will post an update with a ref board asap. Good Luck everyone, can't wait to see others.
Where should I look? Google images? I'm having a hard time finding the artwork of naked women sitting in a similar pose. I want the art design to be similar to the original but high def and with more details.
Man I love how this, it's so retro (but not in the omg 8bit pixels way), and the music is amazing. Also love that "Dear Leader is dead"-line. I will definitely play this. Can't tell, are the mechs/vehicles 3D or sprites ?
So...this is a series of DVDs about the process involved with creating a game from scratch as an Indie dev? An overview of sorts, or are you actually trying to have an all-in-one series on programing, art, game design theory, etc. ?
The main script userSetup.py should call the menu script scriptMenu.py, correct ? If so I have a file called userSetup.py & a file called scriptMenu.py. The following code; def MyScript(): #Code MyScript() What is the purpose of this code ?
Wowzers XD HAving a good laugh by the look of a few in them. Poeple really have imagination for things that aren't practical haha Dem legs though. I expect this one to walk out on me in my sleep.
One last thing: that 480 is like ~1 year old and cost what, $400? That's still a very good card. You don't have to spend $500 every year on a new GPU to work in game dev.
Dear artists, I hope you don't consider it as spam, but I just would like to thank everybody participated. Had to go through this thread several times. You made a tremendous and very inspiring job.
looks pretty good Xaltar! some textures would be awesome to see if you find the time, i guess this could become the "How you model dem shapes" thread but for low poly topology? Would be helpful.
