After Effects has an awesome particle fx system. I had to do a scene of a door exploding. All the flames, smoke, and dust were done in there. Saved a lot of time.
I am using the standard spec shader. Since the artifacts are literally painted into the scale maps I would expect that this is some sort of bug or fbx compatibility issue with that system.
We'll need more information, B4njo - what are your system specifications? Are you using a laptop or desktop? What error messages are you getting in reference to "still not working"?
The modern capitalistic society we live in. Rules in place to keep systems closed and prices high for sub par products, nothing to protect actual innovation and hard work by the individual.
Yeah i'm aware of that, but there are still issues even when well above 75fps on some systems. Its been acknowledged by oculus so i'm sure it will be fixed soon enough

like mine crashes at least 5 times a day and I have a sturdy system as wel, I just find it kind of disgusting that they would put out such a buggy product
I thought ME2 was a huge improvement, if even just for the new inventory system alone. Can't wait for ME3. ME2 was the only RPG I ever beat and then immediately restarted.
what sort of rig are you using? CAT and biped both allow for animation blending. If you have raw BVH files you can import them into one of these systems.
looks like they're phasing out cs5 and below plug-in system in favor of extension manager (but I might be wrong) my old ps plugins are no longer supported too.
