Wow you used a 2048x2048 for a low poly model...don't you think it's a waste of space? I think you can use a 1024x1024 with no problems in resolution in this case. Are you going to model a face for learn face rigging or you will modify this one?
Hey Clyptic, I understand maybe I can modify the colors a bit. I agree looking at the weapon in his hands it doesn't feel right. I think I need to go back to the drawing board on this one. Thanks for the feedback guys.
Cool Neox! I'm glad you've found something that works for you. If you end up modifying Chomp to make it work better, don't hesitate to share your findings. Getting ArtDock-like scripts to work on the SP3 is really sought after!
Looks promising! Will it work if I have different modifier on a lot of them? Anyways, I'll try it out to see. Don't work on it just for me! I can always do it by hand. I don't want to waste your valuable time. Thanks !
Small adjustment... made some ridges in front of the face to insert whiskers. First attempt at direct mesh painting. Removed clothing items, and added modified back feet. Made small adjustments to the glasses frame in order to allow anchoring on the back of the ears.
I would use tileable textures for repeating areas (like the roof). Also the UV-Maps look very dense (good use of space) but also very chaotic. not sure if a "cleaner" UV-Map wouldn't be better, especially if you're planing to modify it.
Good observation nyx702. I forgot to put contents in the pouches and noticed that after I rendered. I still have a little time to work on her so I can go back and modify the pouches per your crit. Thanks for the comment!
Yes, I just realized that, they are slightly too low. I'll probably make them a little bit bigger too. The neck thing wasn't noticeable on the original and I didn't modify the geometry, but you're right, it looks too long on my version.
Sorry I misread your question. There is a button in the Peel section of the unwrap UVW modifier that will expand your selection to the seam borders of the UV island. Other than that, I am unaware of any other button or shortcut that will do what you are asking.
Thats two out of four people who've posted in this thread that don't understand what modding actually is :) Modding, is MODifying a game. Custom maps, weapon reskins, server mods. "mod" != "homemade game", i.e. what you would use UDK for.
