cool makes me want to post the holo shader im working in, took a bit a of a different direction with my and went for a more distorted damaged look, and have some noise, flickers and UV distortion on it.
@autocon yeah some of the props on reach we did with holo text were done the same way, layers in geo with additive blend. that way we didn't need the gray alpha. ah... memories;)
Hey Arco dude! I always admired your art style and skins. Welcome back mate, I also wondered what happened to you, Xolo and others from the old crew ship.
Hey guys Yesterday i had an idea for a one-person-rescue-capsule. So i started to block it out in zbrush to get a nice silhouette and some ideas for detailing and colo(u)ring. Maybe you have some good ideas and critic.
After a few days of watching tutorials for Substance Designer, I decided to dig in a create my first solo material. Materials are one of the things that I find the hardest to wrap my head around, so any feedback is greatly appreciated!
@Doc67 Wow, those sprites are amazing, I love the weather effects on the second screenshot! Here are a couple of screenshots from the recently released demo of "Long Gone Days", my solo project. I hope you like them!
Weapon itself looking good, but in my opinion there are still some problems with the proportion. The Holo sight still seems a little small, same with the shoulder rest. Just made a little comparison with your gun (the red one) and a scar (grey).
wow, what an awesome insane info dump :) my only crit is the animations could use a bit of love, but other then that its stellar work :) also, you should probably post the breakdown and tutorial in a solo thread, for easier viewing.
@JamesMeader Yeah, still carving away at it. It's been super hard as we got super busy at work, but it going to get done! Cheers, dude! The holo is a little teaser of the redesigned level. March is old school now! XD soon!
man this is really coming along pretty awesome! I knew from the holo sculpt you'de be my favourit of the course xD also loved the skull timelaps... what's the brush you use for the first "defining" stroke for folds in the cloth?
