Settle down, Beavis - it's not Flash. He's using a portfolio prefab for his work. Looking at their site, they seem to hate Flash as much as you do. http://www.foliosnap.com/whynotflash.php Charlie, I don't think that site builder is doing anything to help you show your work. It's not loading fast, and it's not giving me…
Oh boy I'm in trouble with this thing. My estimated tri count was 30k and I have WAY over shot that. The poles inside the interior of the carousel alone are 117k and that's as optimized as I could get them to maintain a reasonable silhouette. Obviously I'm doing something wrong here. Without those poles the carousel is at…
Yes I used that to isolate metal from nonmetal and then tweaked in PS . This is what I got exported from DDO https://gyazo.com/8038b2f584e6e7024ed90fb79f532051 I also exported sometimes masks of the painted metal to get the scratches etc to reproduce out of Quixel . But indeed I did not get the same results anyway . Oh I…
Unless I decide to pay $800 for the 3D editing software instead of using the free trial, yes. And good point, I'll get rid of the bolts, and eliminate the N-gons later. Won't take too long, but I'm focusing on texturing right now, and it's much easier to use the current texture map due to the lack of extra white lines…

But i want to ask something , when i did model lower than 350 tris or 400 it looks very bad when i do model with 700 800 tris it looks good but in workshop there are a lot of awesome models how to do that? In a nutshell, repetitive combat and a poor F2P business model. The combat is pretty fun, if a little button mashy. It just gets so repetitive so quickly. It's not even the "grinding" that I have a problem with here. Your first challenge is a jelly. The next is two jellys. The next is three jellys. After that is three…
We've had a small handful of threads about this in the past. Here is a list of them based off of a search for "Carpal". http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=94308&highlight=Carpal http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80463&highlight=Carpal…
If you're using 801, you'll want to enable "Save smoothing groups" in the FBX I/O options. It breaks Unity3D's importing of normals if it's enabled (issue with Unity's importer) which is why it's off by default. Other than that, you shouldn't have any issues as far as I know.
Can't you ask for money back for your MODO? Guess it's a bit late for such comment but you chould do subscription plan which would be $10 a month and easy to cancel via Steam. 801 was way way way more stable, that could have been a good choice.
1TB HD Space Core i7 quadcore processor, 1.73 ghz 8GB RAM Nvidia GeForce GT 435M (kinda bleh but works) I got it new from Dell for $1100 USD 2 years ago. With that reference, I would say you could probably sell your desktop for about $800 maybe? I'm not super sure, but a new brand I would think it would price around $1000,…
