those tgs videos are fucking awesome!!!! hype! combat looks really fun. I loved Nero's demon hand in 4, awesome to see a grapple :) The subtle action pauses are also really good, action feels a lot heavier and powerful now.
IDK about the OP but I usually just texture with Marmoset open to rapidly check my texture work. Its much faster to get the texture updated on the asset, and it uses a ton less ram/gpu power to use compared to UDK/Cryengine.
Yeah you can create a character base mesh wuth shadowbox, but it will be a raster. You can create a character with dynamesh too. That is usually a good way to start out but eventually (depending on your computer power) you will prolly have to remesh the character.
I was asked to show some more breakdowns. A very detailed breakdown of the diorama is on 80 level: https://80.lv/articles/paris-diorama-the-power-of-details/ The diorama was made with a combination of photogrammetry (the tree) and classical sculpting (the door and wall). Here is a look into it:
That looks awesome man, id say the skin shader could do with abit of tweaking, slightly higher spec power would help, but thats being uber picky (looking at earlier reference). Looking forward to seeing what u do next =)
My work desk is relatively plain in looks. It is black in color and L-shaped. It has in-built speaker and power wires. I was unable to post the image of my desk. If anyone is interested to take a look at my desk, they can follow this link to view it.
right there with yah man, one of the most respected guys I know on here was a year younger than me, totally blew my mind. if only this was highlander and I could chop peoples heads off and absorb there powers... *sharpens battle axe*
I'd recommend it. Combining it with some clean up in your 3d package of choice and it can be a very powerful tool. For hard surface models however, I find you can get pretty great results with 3ds max's default UVing tools.
I'm going to bump, but I'm also going to give a cool PowerPoint called "A Picture is Worth 1024 Words" By Ed Bryne and it is about the drawing aspect of Level Design. You can also find some other cool power points to the side.
i have both windows and online image viewers on my pc,they does a great job in processing images. really appreciate the simple and powerful image filtering color mode changing function. but i use windows image viewer most of the time.
