Hello! My name is Eugene and I am a character artist. I have an extensive visual library of costumes, faces, creatures. I had a chance to work with industry giants in one team: Andrey Ryabovichev, Calum Watt on a project in a post-apocalyptic setting. Very sociable, adaptive. Here's my portfolio: trchok.artstation.com…
Yeah, some of the features are pretty basic ; and indeed for some specific parts I sometimes end up working in a regular 3d environment. But still at the end of the day being able a 742mb OBJ without any slowdown is pretty important (doing exactly that right now !) - and to some extent is just as, if not more important…
Wow bringing up personal stuff like that's just a bit too far in my book but he does take it too seriously and to an extent brings it on himself. He has told people in the past to "choke on his c**k he's won awards" and "why would I release Fez on PC? PCs are for f*cking spreadsheets"
Here he is... Although I technically finished working on him, I'm going to use the deadline extension to polish some of the areas I'm still not quite happy with. For example, this was my first time making hair cards and I feel like they didn't come out quite right, so that will be an area of focus as well as his horns and…
For most games I would be using vertex blending extensively on environment assets. It's a super useful tool that's pretty cheap from a performance and memory point of view. It's great for hiding repetition or just allowing for customization of the same asset. But for hiding symmetrical texturing I would just try to avoid…
designwise if you place it there it should have to do something with the personality or story of the character so you may want to reconsider the tattoos and try to match them with the characters story @trousers looking a lot better, but give them a bit harder edges the fabric is stiff to an extent and wont flow so it kind…
Yep, it's what I'm doing right now. Swizzle basically took the word out of my mouth so I don't have much to add. Although, undercutting on costs to an extent isn't necessarily bad. However, you have to start at your base value and go from there. It's a viable business maneuver to get work, but it has its cons.
thank you so much for the info toolpaddz. Sadly enough I cannot find the update button in my version of UV Layout (legit license). I couldn't find any information on this anymore but did they might combined the SAVE and UPDATE button ? *EDIT* found it! Just have to manually change the file extension to .uvl using the save…
I've seen it happen, it didn't really work out that great for the studio. They've went from a AAA studio to mid-tier casual. So a Hollywood comparison would be Dreamworks outsourcing it's entire staff and going from "How to Train Your Dragon" to making straight to DVD movies. AND EA already extensively uses outsourcing -…
I didn't realize they abused this to that extent. :/ I've received a fair few of these types but most of them aren't mature enough to take critique properly since they are forced into it rather than of their own want and drive to get better. So I tend to decline them, only really openly chatting with younger polycounters…
