Prince of Persia Sands of Time comes to mind, because I liked their art and paid attention to how they have done the detalis from which I could learn. Take a look here. http://images6.fanpop.com/image/photos/34300000/Prince-of-Persia-The-Two-Thrones-screenshot-prince-of-persia-34379015-1280-960.jpg Around the outer edges…
function wise, being able to have the head swivel might be nice, but right now the neck shield looks like it might be connected to the head shield. The neck shield is also plain and uninteresting right now. Maybe consider having varying thickness and following the contours of the neck. Also on the inner part of the neck…
Lately i've been feeling nostalgic about Neverwinter Nights and the countless hours i spent playing and working on the toolset. My passion for 3D started with that game, so it's only fair i pay tribute and homage to it now that i have the skills that i didn't have 17-15 years ago. So i decided to start a Neverwinter Nights…
Hi! 👋🖤 My name is Swapilla, I am an indie director, writer and animator. I'm a former Roblox animator and current UE5 creator. I’m currently making a massive long-term and unpaid passion project. A 10 episode animated horror series made entirely in Unreal Engine 5. The series follows Sean and Steph, estranged siblings, who…
Hello fellow polycounters! It’s been a while! As many of you know I recently relocated for a new job to Washington state (which has been nothing short of awesome, great place to be and live.) Anywho, for those of you who don’t know I was recently employed by Digini, the creators of Blade3D - A new game engine that has…
Hey there I'm doing a demo VR app to show the academics for the university I work for. And I'm wondering how you guys do your lighting when you have a interior and exterior scene? I have this factory, which looks nice with this Auto Exposure setting (because otherwise the factory would be too dark) and the normal lights…
Thanks SgtNasty, yeah thanks for reminding me about that roof. I stretched the UVS out like that initially because I was hoping (in vain) that I could get it to line up to the edges of the texture and tile with itself, once I figured out that just wasn't going to happen I added the edging along the corners but I forgot to…
I have a lamp with a standard vray mtl applied to the main body and a doublesided material applied to the translucent area around the light. I am having a problem thought that light is escaping through the non translucent base section and illuminating the pole in a wierd way. Do you know what I should do to prevent this?
TorQue is certainly on to something when he says this is great concept art. Not sure if this is the place, but might I ask what set of brushes you're using? I recently picked up Shaddy Safadi's set and though I can't say yet that I know they're unable, I've yet to produce something with this sort of effective looseness to…
It's starting to look good! Regarding your textures, I think the concrete is either a bit splotchy, or your lighting is dim. You run the risk of everything being noisy and not reading well. You might try lowering the opacity of the weathering/grime a bit. The other issue I see is the noise of the girder texture. It's not…
