Hm. I suspect you're going to have some problems getting thsi to morph nicely with that wire layout, particularly with so many triangles. Theres a pretty specific way you need to do your loops otherwise you'll get spiking or other horrible deformation. There are a few decent tutorials floating about, none of which I have… -

shelf-buttons, yes - i do have shortcuts to certain viewport-layouts and a few other menu popus, command triggers, switches etc. i found marking menu's much better to put commonly used modelling/etc functionality in. unfortunately, at least in all the maya versons i have access to, it' not context sensitive by default.… -

Really good layout and design to the map. The weapon and item placement makes use of the whole map and keeps the action spread out and ongoing. The various rooms/areas of the map makes for some fun and dynamic encounters. I found myself searching for health after an encounter though. Maybe add some health vials, etc. There… -

Yeah I agree the 'polyboost' version of polyboost was better. I have the horizontal layout. I used to just grab the tools i used in polyboost and throw them on they're own toolbar since I don't like using too many fancy tools, and I liked that I had the option to do that. Start with the most obvious and clear cables, make sure those make sense, and then you can be more creative with the messy dangling ones. A lot of the repeating elements use the same/similar cable management, so you can do one, duplicate it over, and then add a tiny bit of randomization. It doesn't need to be 100%… -
