Are you displaying that stuff in the 3ds Max viewport? Theres a thing that always puts people off in that the toggle to Show Shaded Material in Viewport you've gotta hold it down and get it to Show Realistic Material in Viewport and it'll display it at the actual rez it'll render at.
Started on implementing glass destruction. Got a basic model done. Now experimenting with different types of glass. Now I want to implement nvidia Flex into Unreal to get realistic sacks of grain working with bullet impacts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktVmLJ5i4NY
I like fantasy, because if I want realism I can just look trough window. View is not particularly interesting. Although to make thing muddier, I prefer realistic fantasy. In terms of how environment and characters look. But with epic magic feeling to it.
probably jumping a little early (oh well!) into color versions of my face practice. I went back more to stylized as well, i enjoy painting more cartoony, but i do think i have to keep up with more realistic studies!
@Leinadien Thanks mate for the reference. But im working on something stylize for now. Maybe someday I'll do a realistic approach. ;) Just finished my retopo here. Im trying to make a stylize design for this, like a Dead or Alive or Final Fantasy style of character.
My point has always been that you should strive for Realism, not copy reality. It doesn't matter if it's identical to what you're looking at, if the average player is going to look at the scene and say it's wrong. Keep things realistic, but if something doesn't look right, change it.
I cant understand why they just didnt cyber scan Angelina Jolie ??? Why dont they just make a very realistic Angelina she is Lara !!! It seems like a game that they should be able to easily make a good game from but they always mess it up
Show me a big boobed olympic athlete.. then tell me if you think triple D's are remotely realistic in a female hero-like character. It's so blatantly immature it detracts from atmosphere. At least for me. Then again, I don't think with my wang.
This looks great, but I think the colour is slighty too green, and it's my understanding you are going for realistic textures. Maybe something more like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Canadiannaziflag1944.jpg Those are canadians, but their uniform was even greener than the british made ones.
I think the upper lip is way too flat, personally. I may be wrong, but it strikes me as a stylized feature, and incredibly out of place with the otherwise smooth/realistic features. There's still some arc out even on people with really thin/flat lips.
