Large volumes of densely packed flesh would be particularly good at absorbing that kind of fire power. IIRC, it's more sheer numbers and attrition that wear the military down in the book; you can do all the damage you like, your ammunition is going to be limited. -

i had a geforce 4 and an ati radeon 7000 pci gfx card so that I could have 4 monitors!! *rwaar* My mini case overheated about 3 months later and my power supply blew up :P -R -

All the categories mention UT3 specifically. While gears and ut3 are both unreal powered, this contest looks to be, and was previously, about the unreal side of things. If you wanted to be sure to not get disqualified on that kind of technicality, I'd go with modding UT3 rather than Gears. -

Re: Next gen and Current gen techniques
This is why so many people hate the moniker 'next-gen'. It came out of nowhere, and has hung around far too long. Last-gen techniques are still useful for less powerful systems, such as the Wii and mobile platforms. Everything else is current-gen. -

As the others have said, one hella hard of a vid to watch, that sure choked me up. Incredibly sad. One of the most inspiring thing of this whole thing for me was that the parents feel that, even after losing their child, there is no place for anger. Incredibly powerful statement. -

Sometimes i predict the simpsons episode that will be aired on tv the same night. For some odd reason a scene pops up in my head, i come back from work and it's on TV. I havent figured out how to use this power for evil...yet. -

Such sexy rendering of metal. I think I'll make you an honorary American, just like William Tell. :-) You really nailed the specular on these guys, and it makes them look super crisp, and the volume reads excellently. Go go Swiss cheese power.
