Also sorry for the large photos, I had to upload them from my mobile and haven't had a chance to re size. The tower I'm still not sure 100% what to do. Here are a couple of quick thumbnail sketch ideas. I liked the idea of a turret that looked like a large gauntlet breaking through the ground, holding a Chrystal that fires…
Hi Killazzz! We thought about going with different styles of units for each nation, but in the end we decided it would be better to have the shape and silhouette of each unit be the same across them all for ease of identification. We decided to use textures to differentiate and enforce a theme pertaining to each nation…
Just a texture WIP update; I got most of the gold work done with the highlights along with the value's on most of the cloth; still some fine tuning and reflections to add when I get everything else caught up. It's been a while since I've hand painted a face (they're my weakness) so I'm alittle nervous moving on, but I know…
It's a statue/decorative bust for a dungeon entrance, so as he's highlighted it's meant to be like that :) . I imagine the final will have cracks and chips out of it and look alot more stone or possibly metal. For the anger of the face, the eyebrows seem to be curving the wrong way. In the concept the brows form a kind of…
Alright I took a quick look at your website and I really think you should scrap this plan and do something much smaller. I also don't think you will be able to create 3 environments over the summer at a high quality bar. I would work on learning a few smaller things and then take that knowledge into one small diorama at…
This is coming along great. I like how the planks are uneven and not repetitive for the raised walkway. I think the brighter wood-end is too bright, grabs too much attention, should be closer in value to the wood sides. Steps look bad intersecting the stair rails. Hub of waterwheel is too detailed compared to main wheel...…
Trying to wrap this up as quickly as I can. I think I have a solid composition now with the foreground, middle ground and background in place. In the foreground I'm thinking of putting a stone block and a person resting his hand on it and in the background some buildings. The My goal is still for this scene to look more…
I don't think it is light bleeding on the 1st highlighted artifact. I fixed the UVs and it persists. I was using just a constant gray material with a constant 1 in specular. When I break the line of the specular, the artifact goes away. It fixes it for now I suppose, but I imagine once I start putting the actual materials…
His skin lacks the armored appearance that's distinct to crocodillians; at the moment, he looks more like a lizard-man than a 'gator. Take a look at actual alligator skins; the ridges along the back are the most prominent, but all of the scales have a noticeable separation from their neighbor: The feet feel rather blobby…
Meet the Scheisswasser & Söhne U-Bot 7 Submerged Bipedal Weapon System, aka The Panzerwurst. Severely lacking agility on both land and in sea, this amphibious cast-iron guard dog represents the latest in obsolete military solutions. Guaranteed to sink like a stone or wander aimlessly around your docks firing resolutely in…
