looking awesome! nice work on the water, the flags give some nice color variation and for the doors, maybe make a small one person door for places like on that image you refere to, looks more realistic then a dubble door to come out on such a small space
Hey guys I've just made a tutorial for xgen, going through the process of using the modifiers to create realistic hair, I've skipped the guide curves as thats been covered in various other tutorials. Here's the link - https://gumroad.com/joshmjc Thanks, Josh
This is a beautiful!! Thank you so much for taking the time to put that together @oreoorbitz . Those are definitely mistakes I always make with the zygomatic arch. I can now go back to those areas and give them more realistic tweaks. Thanks again.
Does your budget allow vertex painting? The option to transition between yellow and dark, dried out hay could be cool and offset some of the tiling. EDIT: just noticed that the whole scene has that stylized aesthetic. A more realistic style may interrupt that...
I would try to get a little more hip tilt. Just a little more, not too much since its a very realistic looking character. Also, offset the head a little as well. Other than that, its looking good. Walks are incredibly tough!
I couldn't believe that hand-painted scene was 3D until the camera started moving. Really awesome work!! For the realistic scene it would have been cool if the candles were flickering and if there was a bunch of food on the tables. I liked the funny posters and stuff though :)
Great projects man, really nothing to add, art wise your killing it. I personally miss more realistic stuff like the highpoly model at the bottom but thats just my taste. You have a nice and cartoony style, keep it up man :)
Hi people, i worked some more on this, because i wasnt satisfied with how the head without the ballistic mask looked i started again. Trying to achieve a realistic look like in metal gear solid V, still a long way to go.
Mixture of semi-realistic nose and anime features of the rest of the face and sort of abnormal proportions donn't work well really. I'd suggest sticking to one philosophy. Skin and hair textures look good, while clothes somehow lacks. Too plain maybe.
After looking at lots of videos and documentation, it does seem that Mari is only good for making photo-realistic textures from images. That's pretty disappointing, but surprising as well considering the price point on the full version. Still love my free copy of Modo, at least.
