- Update 29/01 - Last update before final submission ! All the animations are done, I'm working on some particles and it should be fine  I wanted to have a very dynamic motion, so I created strong/cartoonish timings ^^ But I think I will do more tests with a slower nuke mushroom.…
Fun to see the other responses. I realized after posting this I should have mentioned WHAT I was modeling that patches were so useful for. I'm making cartoonish clothing, shoes last night. This all has started from one or a couple of splines, caged then some patches detatched/copied and altered via extrudes or bevels and…
Mad Kudos to all the Vigil folk that worked on Darksiders, I'm playing through it now and loving it. The character art is all just grandma slappingly awesome, and I love that it's slightly cartoonish in terms of proportion and color. It satisfies that deep desire I have to be able to crush my foes by flinging automobiles…
Looking kinda cartoonish, especially the hair. Try not to use the anime style hair segments with sharp corners and cut down on the black outline around the eyes. Also add some subtle colour variation to the skin. The skull shape looks a bit too flat to me as well, perhaps the hairline is too low.
It just seems like a really clean dock that's very squared off. Some of the details are really large as well. The corrugated metal on the building looks cartoonish in that respect. Did they give you any options for using alpha textures? Some small plants and overgrowth would help a lot I think.

(the trousers with the strong spec are very nice imo) what i´m not a big fan of is the way the trousers end around the feed .. she would always step on them (esp. when it´s raining ;) ) 2nd part that looks a bit odd to me…
Hey, an opinion regarding what style you are using, im guessing if u want to work with cartoonish styled characters then what you are doing is fine, but making it as a character artist is hard, so if I were you i'd try and modell some more realistic character to open up for more job opportunities.
I played the other cars made by the Unwheel and UnrealSpeed teams. And one thing that struck me is the slow pick up and bad handling. These are the things that I really tried to avoid. Another goal was to make the car very easy to drive. Get in and go! Very small learning curve. You can forget about real world physics with…
In the US, "professionals" are exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. "Professional" usually means manager or you had to get degrees and certifications to do your job but I found this snippet on a website: "Some employees may also perform "creative professional" job duties which are exempt. This classification applies…
