address's most of the things i see wrong with this. remember its all about the texture and getting the biggest bang for your buck. If something can use the same texture and still look good then it should. All it takes to throw someone off is rotating something 90 or 180. you can get a whole lot of mileage off one section.… -

On my dual screen setup at work, I have an 18x12" intuos. to make up for the extra res on the side, I have it mapped about a quarter of the way to the other screen where I have my palette and tool windows placed for photoshop and bodypaint. Just rotate the 4 squads in 180 deg. and squash them a litle bit, so they can tile vertical. -

I did a quick test with a FBX file made in Modo 501 with the latest December 2010 Beta version of UDK. There are some issues: 1. Smoothing groups appear transfer over properly with both FBX options.
