Falcon Update including larger wings. Something huge I changed as well was the fact that I didn't realize I wasn't checking the invert on my roughness in marmoset. [EDIT] Whoops, I guess the pictures loaded a bit slower than my reply button... lol
I used the one just below the crazy top end one with LCD, so it had buttons. They were super hard and uncomfortable to press (not to mention I had to use my pinky to press them), so i preferred to use the keyboard, rendering it not very useful.
Just set this up as a shelf button: { string $meshes[] = `ls -typ "mesh"`; for ( $mesh in $meshes ) { setAttr ( $mesh + ".doubleSided" ) 0; }} Will set every mesh in your scene to single-sided. I don't know if there's a global flag for it, let me know if you find one :)
There are a ton of tutorials on Zbrush's interface and what the buttons do but if you want to learn how to work efficiently, I highly recommend ravenslayer' videos, especially the long ones. There's surprisingly very little mucking about, the guy knows what is doing, for sure. A great watch :poly142:
This happens when there is no collision on the model generally or if you export a single plane if I recall. In max at least you can make every poly collision with one button or in max and maya with user defined properties you can type "box" and make a collision mesh with that too.
Create a plane in 3ds Max, convert it to editable poly object, open the Modify tab and under the Loop and Ring button(below the modifier stack) you will see Preview selection group of controls. Go to Edge subobject level, turn on the SubObj and move the cursor over the edges.
I have been using Alexander Kramer's Script package called "Track Tools", it's pretty neat. It maintains the sub-object selection. The shortcut works as a toggle rather than the usual max isolate button. You can find it here : http://3d-kstudio.com/download/
I think everyone here feels the same thing, but they are usually the ones who constitute the majority of sales. Just downloaded this game, took me 4 hours. Now it's fucking time, BOYS! Edit: There are two jump buttons :P and this is probably the best marketing tool ever!
What I do to redistribute polygons more evenly is to use the "Reduce Selected" button, using smoothing and whatnot you can also add more polies to different areas. When I need things to be more even I just "Reduce Selected" and continue working.
It's quite simple, really, it's super late here and I just got home from the movie theater. I'll look up some tutorials on this tomorrow, or even show some stuff we do at work as an example, but it's really as simple as positioning lights and pressing a few buttons.
