What, no DOS and Win 3.1 port? DAMN, I'M SCREWED Camtasia is VERY good btw, and fraps too (as long as you have win2k though as it chokes horrendously on Win98/ME)
I'm shooting for portfolio-worthy stuff here, but I'll prolly post some random stuffs too. Crits plz; I promise I won't cry. :poly114: Floor Tile 01: Work Light: -1351 polys -1121 verts
I went with a Hannspree 32" 1080p hdtv as a main monitor to replace a 20" acer wbd. There was a sale on these (newegg) when I picked it up for $350+free ship. I would stick with the hdtv's for use as a monitor after this though, it removes the need for dual monitor setup and it feels much better on my eyes.
The one linked above is up to date. It's for 3.1 You shouldn't limit yourself to vray for maya tuts. Have a look at the vray for max tuts also. Practically the same in both. I learned a lot from the older gnomon vray series for maya- which is very in depth- even though I use max.
I'm expecting there to be a few killer indie games and small titles over the next 2 years that really help solidify the platform. But I don't think we'll see much AAA titles for a while. I do plan on buying some VR headset in the next year, $350 for a display seems fine to me.
Wow Fozwroth... just utterly amazing! I picked up battlefield 4 a few days ago and I was impressed from the get-go but when I played Zavod 311 for the first time I fell in love with those trees and every other part of that environment. What are you secrets??!!? Breakdowns plz :)
I am so sad that I didn't see your post earlier... You probably already figured out something. But here is one of the more awesome Unreal FX artist that I've seen: https://forums.unrealengine.com/showthread.php?106474-Luos-s-quot-One-Particle-A-Day-356-days-quot-showcase

In 3dsmax.ini find for example the [MtlEditorPosition], you should change all lines below this one which contains 4 numbers (e.g MainWindow=827 11 367 808, 827 and 11 are X and Y) Here is a macro which do that: ( max_ini_file = getMAXIniFile() setinisetting max_ini_file "RenderDialogPosition" "Dimension" "200 200 355 792" )
Well I've always done it like this Export lowest subdivision from Zbrush Unwrap the .obj file Import the .obj file in Zbrush using the import button and having the right subtool selected. Then it works, no need to use morph target. I've used this since Zbrush 3.1, why wouldn't it work on later versions?
