great job Cheese_Shinobi, looking forward to see where you take this. I agree with what the others are saying about lack of depth and lighting, so I'm just gonna bookmark this page and see your progress in the future :]
This is generally how the roof architecture looks, it's just boggling my mind at the moment xD And i prefer to the 'no mercy' approach, i'm striving to improve so i'll take everything said to me into consideration and remember it for future projects :)
+1 for anatomy, looks solid :) In the future if you want to save time you can ignore most of the detail you added, in the areas where body won't be visible(like arms, legs, feet etc.) Good luck!
I personally think you should stick to doing concepts you do nice work....build your skill there your far ahead in that area... texture/concept artist are gonna be in more demand in the future I think .
Absolutely Amazing tips Rorshach. This is the best information I have seen on the net in a long time. Thank you for sharing all this with us. This really gives me a great guideline for my future projects. Happy New Year~!!
This is absolutely stunning :O I would LOVE to see my models displayed in the game engine. Any chance to see a free toolbox like Marmoset in the future? ;D Also it is nice to see some Swedes working on it :D
Thanks alot guys, and yeah the hair is a bit strange but I was going for some crazy punker style wierd hairdue. And I'll update the first post to change the presentation (I really need to think more about that in the future).
I ran into this a while ago- for future reference if anyone wants to render normal maps from a normal mapped source object, transfer maps is maya software so you'll need JS Normalmapper for it to work. It does tho
Peris: I agree, specifically the version from the start of back to the future 2 with the mr fusion home energy reactor and the nice flying capabilities. Also, can we have this prop in fully working mode as shown in the movie?
Is this orb sopposed to be waist height or mounted on a huge tower? Personally I like spheres, if you want to keep the crystal you can make it more interesting by making it transparent with stuff inside (a scene from somewhere in the future!).
