So.. I made an attempt at making a template I'll be using for my future renders, including information about me, and the model. Here's an example: What do you think? I haven't gotten the wireframe going yet.
The green parts are the colors of the terrain. I will create grass and other vegetation for both the ground and to cover the stones. I revamped my blockout. What do you guys think? I might add more asymmetry in the future!
Thanks pal I hadn't considered laying over the Loomis head like this - there's 1 to remember :) I can solve proportions myself in future. The planar head was actually next on the tick list... New head tomorrow :) thanks
I have, and I still fake lighting. We are just not yet on film level, and we won't be for foreseeable future. The only difference is how much lighting you should fake. Now, it's about faking smaller details ;)
Thank you @somedoggy I added polygons. Please write your criticism. I will try to use it in future projects. In this project, I also see some things that I would like to change, but in that case I will never finish it.
Hey was just wondering, any future DLC for the game on the horizon? EDIT: Nm, just saw this: http://news.softpedia.com/news/Dragon-Age-Inquisition-DLC-Brings-New-Single-Player-Adventures-Inquisition-Options-465579.shtml
Bahahah oh man I gotta watch Pirates again. Great model mate! Though I gotta second the crit about his fingers, they appear a bit too bony. For future reference I guess :/ Cheers
Heheh ya padding. Just for future reference you can usually get away with 8px of padding at 2048, 4px at 1024, and 2px at 512 (although depending on your target platform you may want 4px at 512).
This makes me very uneasy. I hope Steam doesn't turn into a version of the App Store (e.g. over bloated and not difficult to get on). I'm sure they will go about this the right way, but I worry about Steam's future.
Thank you for the personal reply! I will be watching over this thread closely! One more question, do you plan have No Cage / Explicit Mesh Normals or just future integrate SkewMesh to fix Normal Map distortion?
