I was wondering if anyone knows of any good EU4 tutorial makers that stand out from the rest. I was hoping someone with the same sort of verbal conciseness/speed as Michael Pavlovich, who did many Substance and Zbrush tutorials, was out there somewhere. The Epic tutorials are so slow i get tripped up constantly by thinking…
@Veer_P An interesting shape, they're typically fiddly to model in polygonal subd that are usually fabricated using an extruded die cast mould' and also CAD designed, hence indeed a challenge so my approach would be as if modeling a car body shell of some sort with a Shrinkwrap Modifier. Because there's a similarity in…
Hi, I want to create hair for a 3D character. I am using a IMM Hair Brush I did myself. The problem is when I click on an specific topology line, all curves appears but only the clicked one appears with a low polygon density. I want all the topology lines to have that low polygon density without going clicking one by one.

Here is a quick update on the skeleton learning project. I was as I mentioned doing the Udemy coursework, Maya For Beginners: Complete Guide to 3D Animation by Lucas Ridley. I nearly finished modeling the skeleton and then my CGMA course Intro to Maya began. It was a pretty great intro but I'm stopped at the rendering,…
I see a lot of WIPs (works in progress) on your portfolio website which is not so great. I can see that you have the skill to create the model but I would love to see a finished piece textures and all. I see you don't have Photoshop but, much like Blender, there are free alternatives to PS. I hear about GIMP a lot, though…
I think you're off to a great start. It may seem early, but I'd start thinking about what you can do to differentiate your scene from others - as I'm sure you're aware, Oriental street / market scenes seem quite popular, and you want yours to stand out. I think using / emphasizing the docks and ships and thinking about…
[ QUOTE ] pior, dom and rick have the idea. I mean back in the days when you saw new PPMs weekly on polycount it still took a great deal of work to coordinate any kind of effort. For every restriction/rule you try to enforce, however minor, like half the potential contributors are going to drop out. Also, for every 10…
@Cheeseontoast Hey man thank you very much for the reply! Before your post I began to mess around, I ended up going through 3 iterations of the leather weaving. First I tried projecting and editing alphas and that didnt work out quite well. Then I thought of using the IMM hair curve that created flat planes, that worked…
Hey really nice start! Turning that chair into a rocket chair is hilarious =) . If your looking at getting into character art i'd highly recommend checking out the lowpoly thread - http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41232 Creating lowpoly art is a great way to learn the basics... then once you have that sorted…
