hah! I'm actually saving some money to have someone else code up my website. I did a prototype site in html 5 that transforms from portfolio to resume by clicking a button, but I had to put that aside for Dinosaur. :p
I use default Max tools. Grab all faces, planar, select edge for seams that I want, break, relax, quick peel, or straighten faces as necessary. Then maybe hit re-scale button to unify texel density and pack normalize.
@repete thanks for that mate.Hopefully Mikkt will be added soon. I've pretty much given up on QS for the moment(sticking with SP) as it seems incredibly slow and bug-ridden. And the endless flickering screen every time I click a button is quite off-putting.
I keep thinking there's going to be an amazing tech art genius that comes in and tells us we can render post process with tiledshot, can extend the image past your screensize, or turn on anti-aliasing at the push of a button. I must be dreaming...
Thanks for sharing. I moved your thread from General Discussion to 3D Art Showcase & Critiques. Also I fixed your Youtube embed (all you need to do is paste the URL directly into your post, not use the Link button).
Okay, the only thing anybody still remembers is to create a new layer, handpaint it and have that button selected. I have tried it myself and could not get it to work :) But maybe someone else can. I also have not used ddo legacy in ages.
The back of her head looks a little small. If you look at a skull you'll see that the face is about 1/3 of the head. Also her tummy button is too high. Other than that, fab job. I'm especially loving your textures!
Man, I can't even run it. I try loading a level and it shows a bit of a scene and some super chunky (unreadable) text, and I have to hit the power button on my PC. Sure hope they look into whatever is causing it to be impossible to run.
And if it's such a quick and easy technique, why should we pay to see it? Sure, some long complicated tutorial should cost money, but a "See this option? Click this button and voila!" should probably be something given. At least, for myself, I can't imagine paying for it.
That is very weird. I know you can propagate the paint of a duplicate to the original mesh so it applies on all of them, but thats on a button and shouldn't happen by default. Can you show a video of it? I have never experienced anything like that :D
