Could you elaborate a bit on this? I've only messed with fiber mesh a bit, but I had a hell of a time trying to get it to do what I wanted. How did you go from fiber mesh to cards? Did you bake onto cards and then place the cards manually, or did you place all the cards, and then bake, or was it some other secret… -

Ok, if size/weight is not a major concern a DSLR is the logical choice. Sony, Canon, Nikon and Pentax all make solid DSLR cameras. Sony and Pentax have in-body image stabilization which is a really nice plus. With Canon/Nikon you have to buy special IS lenses if you want image stabilization. Canon/Nikon have larger lenses… -

Well, i think you are right in that some parts have more weight and influence than others. But which part this is is hard to nail down, and even differs from case to case. Dependant of what kind of game it is. The art is to find the right balance here, and to make the right parts shine. -

Could save some triangles on the Nuts and Bolts by making the top of the nut a seperate "mesh", then the lower part. Talking about right Here, where the top face of the lower part of the bolt is connected to the upper part, using more tris. If that makes any sense at all? -

I agree with the communication being easier! That's one of the main problems with our industry. But they did it anyways. It's a highly subjective thing.. the video should be called "Why I don't like the current Halo Art Style" instead of claiming to be part of the majority. The franchise has been around for a while so in order to make it look like a modern game you will have to make changes otherwise it will end up looking like starship… -
