Because I am a stupid artist the way I fake it is by shining a dim light right at the face. The illumination on the face itself will be almost negligible (and in some ways it might even help artistically), and the intensity doesn't have to be high to get a decent specular highlight from it. Thanks Oobersli and Chandler The marmoset made it pretty bad because of the lightning, so I'll use maya no lights render for now on to make the diffuse more clear I guess I want to have a smooth looking shotgun instead of approaching a realistic shotgun making it to gritty ( even thou Artems shotugn is really impressive!)… -

Agreed. sometimes it hinders your work because you start to rely on the light information the matcap is giving you and your bakes might not turn out as well as you think. Shapula has some cool matcaps. Watch Hazardous stream on Twitch and ask him about his mat caps too - I did that a year ago and use them all the time.… -

Your use of colour and light is good, and I like these concepts. My main gripe would be with the second image; I feel like my view is being lead to the bottom and right off the image. It may be more effective composition wise to raise the horizon/the tunnel's vanishing point so your viewer doesn't 'fall off' the page.… -
