Edge detections works(at a high level) by detecting the differences between colors, so any flat shader will produce good seperation. I've used an approach similar to your example pretty extensively and it works well. Something to be aware of though is that they are opaque image effects, so they render before transparency.
Yep, the kickstarted failed already. If you didn't get noticable bulk of money if the first couple of days - it is over. You guys have to do extensive research on successful kickstarter campaigns and see what helped them win the trust. Do some more work on the game and relaunch the campaign.
I agree Ford wasn't up to snuff but overall I found it very enjoyable - especially the whale. I thought they might pull that punch and I suppose they did to a certain extent since you didn't get to see the whale gobbets splashing. Sam Rockwell made a fantastic Zaphod.
i was thinking of student licenses probably being included in that number, that should boost the number of seats to great extent but hardly make a dent at the bottom line. they're surely trying everything to sell subscription as a great success so as to not get laughed at like adobe a few fiscal quarters ago. :)
I am no pro animator, but i learned that you will need reference when doing animations. The easy way is to get someone to walk around as that zombie for you, and then record it. Or record yourself. Then draw still images for keyframes, of what motion you wan, blocking in the movement and overdoing it to some extent.

@kelly_caroline Be sure both your files share the same .fbx extension or the option Match by mesh name won't work (multiple meshes are likely merged in a single one when exporting in .obj). I also suggest to just explode your object instead, it usually provides better results.
That gun is bigger than the tiger, really gives you a sense of scale. I like the sideskirts, they could even stand to be a bit bigger. Maybe keep the solid metal part of the sideskirts in a similar profile to what it has now, but add some wire extensions like what this tank does.
not sure if foreigners can buy property here easily... although here's the fun stuff: being in a communist state you're not buying property here. You're merely buying the usage rights for 99 years (with the option for an extension) because everything belongs to the state. De-facto you're buying it though ;)
Trust me, lots of people would love to have such an option in PS...but unless Adobe does it, there's not a lot extension devs can do about it really...They don't give us any good access to image info (without reaaaaally processing it which would slow things down a lot)
