It looks really cool to me especially when things fly in the direction of the camera. Some sort of fast implosion before the big last explosion would also look nice but I am no astrophysicist to know what would be the most probable realistic look of this :)
Hi everybody, this is for this weekend the WIP of the palmtree. But I don't really now how to do the bottom. So, if someone have tricks or advises, there are welcome. And what can I add to make more credible or realistic ? Coconuts ? On this I wish you a good weekend.
Vray tests on the streamlining I like the more sedated, realistic lighting of overcast or otherwise meh weather/light. if it looks good and as it should under real world crap lighting, it'll look brilliant under god rays and uber refined lighting rigs.
I like it, that you make a more realistic female warrior  But maybe you try to keep a few female atributes. When I look on your character I don't know this is a woman. Maybe you give her a softer shape for the face. :)
Looks nice so far, the website also looks pretty cool, just make sure to spend some time on texturing in photoshop and generally some realistic stuff, its easier to see your mistakes and learn, plus pretty much everyone demands it
I'm not sure how I feel about metalness maps haha but ive been trying to make the metal and the glass look more realistic so heres a comparison of what I have now and what I had when I started the thread
Exactly what I have learned from this project. It's always so tempting to keep add more and more details in texturing. When in fact, the subtle details are what make a texture look realistic, and avoiding over done actually save alot of time.
jmiles the emitters *blue dots in the air* are too many and four of them are too large.. I was going to say "NAILED IT, YET AGAIN!!" but I think its too obvious. Decreasing the amount of "blue dosts" would make it a bit more realistic scene. :)
It may be a bit late but I'm wondering, why did you make the edges on your highpoly so sharp? Softer edges might be less realistic but makes for a better look ingame. See also: http://wiki.polycount.com/w/images/8/85/Normal_edge_thickness.jpg
Yeah I think you are right. You should either choose to hand paint the book or choose a more detailed realistic look. Do you have the texture sheet to look at? And maybe of the model flat shaded with wireframe? Just to see how it is modelled.
