Yeah, many people told me to avoid Ryan even if i want to start to learn anatomy. No idea why.... I'll my final questions about learning anatomy. I know how much many times has been asked and answered. Yea will accept the fact that, i should start to draw and learn anatomy in that way. 1.(How someone can learn drawing, if…
Thanks for the info Almighty_Gir! I have been looking at some models, which seem to have flat surfaces, however I see people opting to still slice the quad into 2 tri's. I know its probably a loaded question, but could you perhaps tell me why someone would opt to slice up quads into tri's ? Does this not require additional…
I'd suggest trying to find some patterns for the traditional clothing you're going for here. These clothes don't really look convincing. Though they cast a similar silhouette, the structure is weak. At least look up the correct names of the pieces so you can get good refs; there are lots and they're free and publicly…
So currently working on an anvil in mudbox. The pieces are separated out, as Anvil horn, hammer striking surface, base, and then stump. A. I am not sure what is causing mudbox to have a fit with this corner here, but is making it appear funny in the scene. To the left I have screenshot the geometry for you guys to look at.…
1st, it would be good to post your fix so other people who stumble on this thread while looking for answers might get one ;) 2nd, one thing it could be... How many sides does the cylinder have? Is it divisible by 4? If not, your cylinder could have 2 flat sides (East and West) and 2 pointy sides (North and South). The…
Spec or Metalness? How about we just call it "reflection"? Maybe toss in some logically named settings tucked into it, to describe what they are. Oh but wait we need to name settings after the people that worked on them: Euler, Fresnel, Catmull-Rom, Mitchell-Netrovali bla bla bla... Because, who really cares about clarity…
Thanks guys! Yeah, I had a biped shoulder twist in there and it was worse for some reason... (I was probably skinning it wrong or something) The shoulder would twist even worse than this and all of the verts would twist down almost into a point. But after hearing what you said, I will go back and play around with the twist…
@Burpee ZBrush is used a lot in professional studios for texturing. There are a lot of artists who prefer the polypainting as they do not need to worry about uvs until after retopology and for concept sculpts for visualization purposes before the final design is locked down. @Eric Chadwick Yes, I agree as well.Tried the…
It was my mistake, I should of triangulated or quadrangulated the model from the start. I don't know why yet, but Mudbox is just easier for me to use atm. Perhaps I will pick up and learn to use Xnormals when I get better. Anyway, now that I know to not have N-gons. I decided to start a new model. I produced something cool…
dunno, i'd go for the HDRI-enhanced render if you can be bothered. that will pop next to the average model and work well for convincing a producer every time. at the end of the day you are hired as a make-stuff-look-cool-person and who knows when your knowledge of bending a renderer to your will will come in handy later…
